Meet "Paisley" - Courtesy Post
About Paisley:
Paisley is a loving and sweet 8-year-old spayed French Bulldog whose greatest joy in life is being close to her people. She is a goofy cuddle bug who loves nothing more than curling up in a lap or burrowing under blankets. She has a way of charming everyone she meets with her affectionate nature.
An ideal home for Paisley is a calm, adult-only environment with someone who is home for most of the day (remote worker/retired ideal). Because of her strong bond with her people, she does experience some separation anxiety and will often howl or "yodel" when left alone before settling down. For this reason, she would not be a good fit for an apartment or a home with shared walls.
Her current home has had Paisley since she was a puppy, and she is a cherished member of the family, but due to a change (children), it is no longer the right home for her. If you are prepared to lovingly manage health and behavioral considerations that come with French Bulldogs, Paisley will undoubtedly enrich your life with her love and unwavering companionship.
Her Health Needs:
Paisley has chronic back pain, causing generalized anxiety/fear-based aggression toward children, requiring a kid-free home. Needs daily medication to manage these symptoms. She has low-exercise needs (loves to nap and hang out), and shouldn't jump off high surfaces or go down many stairs alone.
Additional Information:
Potty/crate trained. Gets along with other dogs socially, but can be possessive with food around unfamiliar dogs. Fully vaccinated & recent clear physical and bloodwork panel.
If you are interested in "Paisley," please ensure you have an application on file with us before inquiring about this lovely lady.
All Applicants will be forwarded to Paisley's Owner for review. She will decide Paisley's New Forever Home.
Re-Homing Fee: $200.00

Meet Big T - Courtesy Post
His name is Big T, but we just call him T. His birthday is January 8, 2018. He is a neutered French Bulldog/Bulldog mix and weighs about 40 pounds.
Beautiful and affectionate, T is looking for a home with **no other pets**. He would do best with someone who works from home or is retired. He's happy to be a couch potato snuggled under a blanket next to you all day, or to follow you wherever you go. He loves car rides, walks, and runs, as well as basking in the sun in the backyard. T knows basic commands and is treat-motivated. He is up-to-date on vaccines for the next three years, and his most recent annual lab work came back great! His full medical history will be provided. Questions are welcome.
His current owner is an RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) at a local veterinary office. I also have a 7-year-old, half-French, half–Old English Bulldog. He was an adoption reject as a puppy, and I adopted him at 3 to 4 months old. Unfortunately, he cannot be around other dogs unless they are puppies who grow up around him. Otherwise, he becomes aggressive, especially if toys, food, or human attention are involved. He is highly resistant to training, and medications that were recommended have not helped. While he loves people and is a perfect gentleman at the vet, he is not safe around other animals.
He used to be very friendly with cats, especially the foster kittens I brought home. He was great at helping them get used to dogs. However, over the past three years, he has become increasingly aggressive toward the cats. He now attacks them just for entering a room. So far, he hasn’t broken the skin or caused serious injury, but his bites have caused muscle pain. I can no longer risk serious harm coming to my cats.
He has had a comprehensive exam and lab work every year. A few years ago, we even had an MRI and spinal tap done. He is completely healthy, and I carefully manage his health and environmental allergies. I believe he would thrive in a home with **no other pets**, ideally with a retired person or someone who is home frequently. He’s a true couch potato who just wants to lie next to someone under a blanket all day, but he also enjoys going for walks—and he can keep up with runners too. He will happily follow you everywhere.
I absolutely hate the idea of rehoming a pet, and I’ve tried to make it work for years, sacrificing the well-being of both my family and my pets. But it’s not just about my cats' safety—he’s clearly not happy having to share affection. He is adorable and looks almost entirely like a French Bulldog, but with longer legs and a slightly longer muzzle. He has **no breathing issues** and maintains an average weight of 40 pounds.
His skin and ears stay healthy as long as he receives a medicated bath at least once a month, which he is used to. He’s treat-motivated for baths as well. He has been boarded about half a dozen times at the veterinary offices where I’ve worked, and he’s always been very well-behaved. My coworkers like him a lot—but unfortunately, they all have cats.
Big T is in the Sacramento area.

Meet Kobe - Courtesy Post
Kobe is 4 1/2 yrs old. He is scheduled to be neutered soon. He is current on vaccines, heartworm tested (negative) & microchipped. He will remain with his current owner while a new home is looked for. All interest will be passed onto them for review.
Kobe is still a work in progress on his house training. He will go on wee-wee pads. He sleeps in his own bed at night. He prefers that over a crate. Kobe is good with small, mellow dogs, but he doesn't do well with big dogs. NO CATS. He is looking for a new home where he can be the only dog or where there are small dogs (spayed and neutered).
Kobe enjoys going for walks. A stroll around the neighborhood is one of his favorite things. His owner says that he doesn't really play with toys. He is a very sweet boy looking for his final, forever home.
There is a re-homing fee for Kobe.

Meet Stitch - Courtesy Post
Stitch is with Animal Friends Rescue Project
This handsome boy came to AFRP after he was brought to a local animal hospital for help with a prolapsed rectum. Now, fully recovered he's seeking out his furever home!
While he's a looker, Stitch is quite a special boy who requires very specific adopters! Stitch is quite a goofy pup, and with that comes a few quirks; he is dog reactive and although he is working through it with positive training he would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard at this time as well as with potential adopters who have experience with reactive pups. Stitch is also obsessed with being the center of attention and it shows! This means no other animals can be in the home, he wants to be the only pup in your heart! He's a bundle of fun and loves to play with his toys, especially any kind of ball.
Stitch is looking for an adopter who has experience with brachycephalic breeds (flat-faced dogs) and understands their continued needs, and possible added medical care. These adorable pups can be a bit more costly!
Stitch comes with pre-registration for one-on-one training sessions to help with his exposure to other dogs and confidence building.
**Stitch is a candidate for a foster-to-adopt opportunity! If you are interested in this program, please complete a foster application, and adoption application. Don’t worry, the adoption application will not be processed until you are ready to move forward. **
He is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be scheduled once your online application has been received and approved.
