The NorCal French Bulldog Rescue
is a Non-Profit Organization.
Today we’d like to share with you all what’s been happening in the last month here in rescue. This represents NorCal French Bulldog Rescue and NorCal Bulldog Rescue, we are sisters.
In late May, Stanislaus County animal services contacted us. They wanted to see if we could help with a case they had with a puppy mill. We said yes, and the waiting and preparation for dogs/puppies began. On Saturday the 11th we were given a go to start transferring dogs into rescue. We moved 32 dogs into our care by Tuesday the 14th. The last transport was the puppies that had parvovirus and now kennel cough. Our dear friends at Res-Que, Reno, Nevada all-breed dog rescue took some of the min pin and terrier mixed parvo pups to help lighten the amount we took in.
We are now feet to the ground running with care for these kids. Many are needing medical care. We will be posting and sharing our journey in getting these kids healthy and ready for adoption. All the dogs must be spayed and neutered. We are going to be going through applications as they come in.
If you are interested in helping us in our journey we have an Amazon wish list posted below and we will be getting a Chewy one up very soon. We will also be happy to take in donations directly at Blue Ravine Animal Hospital to help pay the medical bills that are climbing quickly.
These kids are being loved and cared for, getting them ready for adoption. If you are interested in adopting a dog/puppy, please go to our websites and fill out an application. We will be posting often to keep you updated.
We would also like to thank Stanislaus Animal Service Agency and its staff for the amazing care these dogs received. There were a lot of tearful goodbyes as these pups boarded transports.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to District Attorney Tracy Griffin for fighting hard for these dogs and Detective James Stamper for his support throughout the hearing.

We are volunteers who love the French Bulldog breed and are dedicated to its continued well-being. The volunteers find new homes for approximately 25 French Bulldogs each year. Many hundreds of dollars are spent to provide medical care, food, shelter, and training while the rescued Frenchies are awaiting adoption.
If you want to help the French Bulldogs waiting for adoption, you can make a donation to help pay the vet bills. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Rescue Objectives
The NCFB Rescue is composed of volunteers who are working toward these objectives:
Please note that the NCFB Rescue rescues only the purebred French Bulldog.
Types of Dogs Generally Available
Hundreds of French Bulldogs are lost, abandoned, taken to animal shelters, or surrendered to rescue every year. This is the price of popularity. (The French Bulldog is among the 10 most popular AKC breeds.) Buyers are intrigued by the Frenchies many charms, only later to discover the special care that some may require with their, "pushed in" faces, unusual structure, and, in some cases, genetic faults from irresponsible breeding.
French Bulldogs that come through the rescue program are seldom in "perfect" condition in terms of health, temperament or both. Frequently, it is health and/or behavior problems that cause the owners to give up the dog.
We do not usually get puppies in rescue! The average age of a rescue French Bulldog is about two - five, and few Frenchies are ever surrendered to rescue under the age of two.

Rescue Objectives
The NCFB Rescue is composed of volunteers who are working toward these objectives:
- To accept Frenchies whose owners can no longer keep them and find responsible, stable, loving new homes for them.
- To rehabilitate Frenchies before placement by providing necessary medical treatment and training to increase the chances of successful placement.
- To help reduce the population of unwanted pets by ensuring that all rescued Frenchies are spayed/neutered before being placed.
- To screen applicants thoroughly before making placement decisions.
- To inform prospective adopters about the rescue program and the requirements for taking care of French Bulldogs.
Please note that the NCFB Rescue rescues only the purebred French Bulldog.
